The Commonwealth Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a Special Grants Initiative for Civil Society Organisations and Commonwealth Associations in partnership with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) to undertake strategic and innovative projects that will promote the Commonwealth theme for 2012, “Connecting Cultures”.

Her organization, AMOR Youth Organization, aims to promote and support cultural and academic development as well as preserve national traditions of youth part of the 2 million Azerbaijani community in Russia. In addition, her organization aims to promote successful youth intercultural dialogue.
As ICYF-DC coordinator for intercultural dialogue, Ms. Aliyeva is responsible for the promotion of programs which help establish friendly relations between youth of Muslim countries and their counterparts globally in particular in Western countries. In both capacities, she has participated in organization of a number of international conferences and seminars under the theme of intercultural dialogue. She also was a participant in the First Madrid and Second UNAOC Annual Forums.
