Our Words of Wisdom

“We are one, if only we can put our differences behind and adhere together as one people. The goals of the future, the challenges we face in getting them will be tackled with a blink of an eye. It is important to be one, it is truly important that we be one, let's be one now.”
– Roland Tarley, United States
What is Intercultural Dialogue?
Intercultural dialogue is a process that involves an open interactions between individuals from different cultural backgrounds, with the objective of understanding each others’ worldview. This gives people a chance to understand the origin of their differences, but also to appreciate the similarities they share.
Intercultural dialogue is an important step in overcoming the boundaries that separate people and groups. However, dialogue is only one element of the puzzle. One needs to go beyond dialogue and take concrete actions that reflect an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity.
