World Changers Academy (WCA)

Geographic focus: Africa

World Changers Academy (WCA) is a Non Profit Organization which was founded in August 2002 by Joe White and Sizwe Mthembu. Joe (an American) had been living for a number of years as the only white man in a community in the valley of 1000 Hills. Sizwe Mthembu (a former teacher, pastor and businessman) was raised in northern Zululand. The two joined together to form this organization, which addresses the social, spiritual, and educational issues being dealt with in the Zulu community today.

Our programs focus on building positive qualities in the students and strive to change negative attitudes, habits and practices. We’ve trained over 1000 High School students around Durban. Topics covered in the Leadership courses include: Vision, Goal setting, Communication skills, Healing of the past and forgiveness, Voluntarism, Team building, Relationship and Leadership. Numerous lives have been changed for the better through this training. Students, schools, families and their communities have benefited from the impact and vision of newly self motivated student leaders who have also develop opportunities for their lives through volunteering, community involvement and pursuing further studies.
